SakiMCP Legal Framework & Copyright

This document outlines the legal architecture governing the use of SakiMCP. It reflects a synthesis of rigorous intellectual property standards and the agile spirit of modern software development.


I. Preamble: The Bay Area-Bostonian Synthesis

Saki Studio, while headquartered in Taipei, operates under a global digital philosophy. We adopt a legal stance that merges Bostonian academic rigor (reflecting our commitment to structural integrity and copyright law) with Bay Area innovation culture (emphasizing rapid iteration and developer empowerment).

By accessing or installing SakiMCP, you acknowledge that you are entering into a binding agreement with Saki Studio, governed by the principles outlined herein, compliant with international copyright treaties including the Berne Convention and the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act).


Proprietorship The SakiMCP software suite, including its source code, compiled binaries, visual interface (UI/UX), and documentation, is the exclusive intellectual property of Saki Studio (Saki-tw).

Prohibitions Without explicit written consent from Saki Studio, the following actions are strictly prohibited:

  1. Commercial Redistribution: Selling, leasing, or sub-licensing the software.
  2. Reverse Engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code from the compiled application, except where expressly permitted by applicable law for interoperability.
  3. Attribution Removal: Altering or removing any copyright notices, proprietary legends, or watermarks.

III. End User License Agreement (EULA)

Saki Studio grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SakiMCP, subject to the following constraints:

  • Scope of Use: This license is intended for personal, educational, or internal business research purposes.
  • Fair Use & DMCA: We respect the “Fair Use” doctrine. Users may utilize SakiMCP to index and analyze their own codebases or codebases they have a legal right to access. Saki Studio is not responsible for any copyright infringement committed by the user through the indexing of unauthorized content.

IV. Disclaimer of Warranties (“AS-IS”)

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.

Reflecting the standard liability limitations found in the MIT License and Silicon Valley best practices: Saki Studio disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability In no event shall Saki Studio be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software. This includes, but is not limited to, data loss, system instability, or interruption of business operations.


V. Open Source Compliance

SakiMCP incorporates components from the open-source community. We strictly adhere to their respective licenses (e.g., Apache 2.0, MIT).

  • In the event of a conflict between this EULA and an Open Source License, the Open Source License shall prevail with respect to that specific component.
